Maria

María has made progress on a personal, social and emotional level this year. She shows interest in reading at school. Her math skills have improved, but she still needs help with reading comprehension. In 2004, she will start her technical training and study baking while also attending her regular school. María never misses the Buen Pastor Program and is respectful of her brothers, sisters and adults.  She is also learning to be more responsible. After receiving a visit from her brothers, whom she had not seen for years, Maria learned that she is 15 years old. This came as a big surprise for everyone but has been positive because some important information about Maria’s background has come to light.
