Alicia seems to understand everything she hears about the Lord Jesus Christ and is very supportive of others. After her First Communion, she said that her faith had grown. One important step for Alicia was her admirable success in her new school, despite encountering some discrimination from classmates because of her different appearance and form of speech. Alicia is a fighter; she perseveres and has solid self-esteem, which helps her overcome any problems she faces. She has a good sense of belonging in the Kantuta house and is very grateful to Amistad’s friends in the U.S. Alicia loves decorating and shopping, but she does not enjoy dancing. Currently, she is taking a typing class and is very responsible about completing her homework for this course. She would love to have a profession and would like to go to the town where she was born so she can find out whether her mother is still alive. This year, a social worker will help her by visiting the area where she thinks she was born. |
