Delia

Delia has two biological brothers who live in the Villa—Edgar in Casa del Joven and Freddy who lives in Casa Copacabana.  She likes to participate in all kinds of activities, especially spiritual retreats and outings organized by the Pastoral Juvenil unit. Delia was in 11th grade in 2003, but failed the year because she was unable to meet the demands of the new school and did not make the necessary effort. However, she formed good relationships with her classmates – so much so that at the end of the year they wanted to elect her “Classmate of the Year.” In December, Delia worked handing out fliers for a Technical Institute.  In the first few days, she was tempted to leave this job, but she stuck it out and responded well to all the tasks assigned to her. This year, Delia will start her technical training to be an executive secretary, since she finished the Office Assistant course last year.  Because of her age, she will continue her high school studies at an adult education center.  Initially, she was not happy with this idea, but now she understands and accepts it as her best option. Delia wants to eventually study nursing. It has been agreed that she will pursue this course at a later date, based on her response to the plans set for this year.
