Invite an Amistad representative
to speak at your church

Community is at the heart of every Christian ministry. In this spirit, why not consider sharing the mission of Amistad with other members of your church by inviting a representative to speak to the congregation as a whole or to a specific group? You may request a visit from our U.S. Executive Director or from a board member who lives in your area, and topics may be tailored to meet the special interests of your church. From housing and education to nutrition and health care, one of our projects is sure to match the focus of your outreach efforts!

Host a prayer meeting or an event

Three times each year, Amistad Mission invites local congregations to gather in prayer or to implement activities on behalf of the children in our care. Whether your congregation chooses to organize a prayer walk at Easter, to help your youth plan a back-to-school event in September, or to host an alternative giving drive in December, you can rely on dedicated support from our staff and immeasurable gratitude from our kids!

Organize a local volunteer group

Each of us has been given a gift by God and a choice as to how we will use that gift. If you would like to use your gifts to help the children of Bolivia, your church can become the center of a Regional Amistad Council (RAC). These organized groups of volunteers use their creativity to coordinate church functions, mission trips to Bolivia, fundraising drives, or any other activity that your congregation might enjoy. The main purpose of a RAC is to make new friends on behalf of the mission. If you like people, you’ll love being part of a RAC!

Plan a mission trip to Bolivia

Set in the foothills of the magnificent Andes is La Morada – Amistad Mission’s spiritual retreat center. Here, visitors are able to witness the miracles made possible by friendship: children who once had no hope now look forward to a brighter future, impoverished Quechua natives are offered medical care for the first time in their lives, unemployed adults are given dignity through vocational training programs, and all are given a chance to know the love of Jesus. Support Amistad Financially

Amistad Mission is a Christian ministry, founded on friendship and centered on Christ. While our focus has always been to build relationships on behalf of our children, we cannot ignore the reality that we need significant funding to carry out our mission. Whether you feel led to make a one-time donation, to provide annual support, or to co-sponsor a children’s cottage, you will be amazed by what a dollar can accomplish for those who survive on pennies a day!
